India's deepest port is often cited as Vizhinjam International Seaport in Kerala, a natural deep-water port with over 20 meters depth, ideal for Ultra-Large Container Vessels (ULCVs). While Krishnapatnam Port (Andhra Pradesh) is also known for its significant depth (around 18.5m) for large vessels, and Visakhapatnam Port is India's deepest landlocked port with a natural depth of 16.5m, Vizhinjam offers the deepest draft for modern container ships.
