1. International Cheetah Day

The Prime Minister of India marked International Cheetah Day (4th December) by noting India’s progress under Project Cheetah.
International Cheetah Day: Designated by American zoologist Dr. Laurie Marker, founder of the Cheetah Conservation Fund, in memory of a cheetah named Khayam that she raised, the Day highlights global efforts to prevent the species’ extinction and strengthen conservation.

2. UPI Launch in France

India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has been formally launched at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. This historic move makes it the first major European venue to accept UPI, allowing Indian tourists to make payments in Rupees using their mobile apps, signalling the global expansion of India's digital infra.

3. Indian Maritime Doctrine 2025

The Chief of the Naval Staff released the Indian Maritime Doctrine 2025 on India Navy Day, aligning it with India’s long-term strategic vision and maritime priorities.
Indian Navy Day is celebrated on 4th December every year to honor the efforts and role of the Indian Navy in Operation Trident conducted during the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971.
