1. Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) Celebrations

Today, India observes Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution in 1949. The President of India led the preamble reading ceremony at Parliament House. A new digital portal for Constitutional History was launched by the Ministry of Law and Justice to help students access original debates of the Constituent Assembly.

2. The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) programme has completed 50 years since its launch as a pilot in Karnataka, one of its earliest adopters, the programme now is the world’s largest community-based early childhood development programme.

3. ISRO's Advanced Weather Satellite Launch

ISRO successfully placed the new INSAT-3DS meteorological satellite into orbit. This satellite is equipped with advanced payloads to provide better climate monitoring and disaster warning services. It will specifically enhance the accuracy of cyclone predictions in the Bay of Bengal region.
